Claytor Lake Engagement Session | Roanoke Wedding Photographer

We don’t normally do an engagement session as late as this one!! It has been a wild ride navigating the restrictions and because of that Alex wasn’t able to base for this session. But they knew it had to be where they first met and where he proposed to Carly: Claytor Lake.

James and I enjoyed exploring this beautiful park but we had to wake up early for it!! If you know James and I you know that we rock the mid day/evening time the most. I have a feeling kids will turn us into morning people but we haven’t crossed that bridge yet haha!

But all our grumbles of waking up early went away instantly once I saw Carly & Alex and how perfect these two were dressed! I met Carly a few times before this day because we weren’t sure this session was going to happen. And our first time meeting at a coffee shop a few months back lasted not 1 hour… not 2 hours…. not 3 hours…. but 4+ hours!!! And ya know what? It felt like 30 minutes. I love connecting with my brides in a way that makes 4 hours feel like nothing!
