Spring Elopement at Peaks of Otter & Thunder Ridge Overlook | Lynchburg Wedding Photographer

Our first wedding of this year is officially here!! Anna & Chris started us off nice and easy with an intimate mountain top elopement on the Blue Ridge Parkway!

I have been to the Thunder Ridge Overlook before with Anna actually!! This was the spot her sister-in-law (& fellow EH bride!!) had part of her engagement photos. And just like Allison & Dakota’s session, we had to navigate sharing the space. Fortunately, Anna & Chris got a permit to have their ceremony overlooking the valley! And I have to say, it was one of the prettiest views for a ceremony!!

I was thankful Chris & Anna were so laid back because some people would have struggled with the wind, surprise picnic, and random hikers passing through as we did photos. Being in front of the camera can be hard enough sometimes let alone have random people watching your romantic mountain top portraits!! But I have to admit, we worked the wind to our favor!! Anna looked like a goddess in this flowy wedding dress.

Chris surprised me yet again with his portrait ideas!! If you remember from their engagement session, he came up with some poses for them. Well he had a few tricks up his sleeve by bringing his car and motorcycle! So on our way back to the Peaks of Otter we stopped at another overlook to grab some shots and I have to say I love them! I could tell Chris was very proud of his hard work and I hope my few details shots of his car made him proud!!

All in all, this beautiful mountain top elopement on the Blue Ridge Parkway was a great start to our season!! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their day!!
