Roanoke Virginia Family Session | Virginia Wedding Photographer

I will forever remember this adorable family session in Roanoke Virginia. James and I love exploring local college campuses for our sessions because they are always so beautiful and well kept. Fortunately, Virginia offers absolutely beautiful college campuses all around and offer such unique scenery. Hollins College is always a favorite for our family sessions for its easy location spots and variety!

This sweet family wanted to update some family photos and I was so excited to meet their precious little girls. They were so well behaved and Dinisha dressed them up in the cutest outfits complete with bows! I love how all of their outfits coordinated and looked so cohesive without being too matchy-matchy!

Hollins college was the perfect spot for these portraits! On one side of the property there is a small creek and little Lilly wanted to play in the water so badly. Her little sister, Marielle, on the other hand was content with sitting and watching her sister run around. So I made sure to grab a few shots of each of them in their “element” because while smiles at the camera is what a typical family photo looks like, I love to capture personalities!

I always get shots of just mom and dad too so while I was grabbing some photos of Marcus and Dinisha, James was sweet enough to entertain the kiddos. Lilly and James had a few foot races (they were so cute) and believe it or not she still had energy to do her superwoman pose and ballerina twirls towards the end of our shoot.

I loved reconnecting with this sweet family and can’t wait to share a few of my favorites with you!
